The new tab order that you object to is necessary for those who must use the site using the keyboard only to use the site in anything like a sensible fashion . It follows natural tab order for the visual layout of widgets.
To quantify the difference:
Now to set a name as 'uncertain' after entering it takes 3 keypresses (tab,tab,space)
Before the change it took 51 keypresses (tab x 50, space)
The tab order was not changed accidentally. It was very much on purpose. See the accessibility standards at W3C:
Some people cannot use a mouse, including many older users with limited fine motor control. An accessible website does not rely on the mouse; it makes all functionality available from a keyboard. Then people with disabilities can use assistive technologies that mimic the keyboard, such as speech input."
