Hello! I'm Steven Wells. I live in central Boston with my husband.
I've been doing genealogical research on my family since the 1980s. I had the significant advantage of having a maternal grandmother who was deeply interested in genealogical research. She and her sister trampled through many grave yards across mostly the Midwest to establish her as a member of the DAR.
Another breakthrough came my way of the publication of Genealogy of Patrick McGuire and Catherin Prigmore McGuire about 1750 to about 1835. I'm actually listed in the book.
During the Covid-19 pandemic that has gripped the United States of American and the World, my husband and I have kept ourselves busy with several projects. One of which was to update our individual genealogy.
We currently have over 2,000 records in our combined family tree--and it's growing.
I have found a line of Stewart Kings of Scotland to which I can trace direct lineage. It's been a fun adventure. "The Kings Research," as I call it, benefited from WikiTree information. And I sight it often when providing sources for the information.
I've been an IT professional all my life, and I am amazed at how the digital age had transformed genealogical research. I intend to frequently upload my genealogical data to WikiTree so it might be of benefit to others on the site.
