I have information to contribute to the profile of Joan (Clapp) Elston. This is what I can add:
- Sources for the marriage of Joan Clapp to John Elice/Ellis, listed in this profile as John Elston.
- The current profile lists as a sole source the work of James Strode Elston, The Elston Family in America; I have posted a comment on that profile detailing why I believe the sources suggested here are more appropriate, and probably indicate that the marriage of Joan Clapp to John Elston is in question. If my proposed edit is cleared, I will move the contents of that comment into the Research Notes. Similar corrections should be included in the profile for John Elston, in my opinion.
