When you upload your GEDCOM, then go through your GEDCompare report, the profiles you've already created will show up as "matches" which you just need to accept so you will not create duplicates. Once you go through your entire GEDCompare report and accept or reject all potential matches, you will get "ADD" buttons next to each individual for whom you did not mark a match to start creating profiles. If your GEDCOM is very large, it will take you a while to complete the GEDCompare process. Though you can create profiles this way be prepared--those profiles will need to be "cleaned" of what is referred to as "GEDCOM junk" and your sources may have to be reformatted to make sense and be useful to anyone.
