Rather than calculate each one, I will wait for my Family News feed.  I have read very little science fiction.  Onre of my favorite quotes is from Isaac Asimov:

"Never let your sense of morality get in the way of doing what's right."

Asimov

What about Kim Stanley Robinson?
Hello Dan,

He's still living, so he wasn't an option. Hee'll definitely be on that list someday, though! I own the Mars series :-)
Ray Bradbury would be a cousin I would be very proud to have in my tree... But it's not connected yet! (I think, I have never had a positive connection yet, any suggestions?)

Mary Wollestoncraft Godwin Shelley would be a nice anchor to explore.
Ray Bradbury is my 5th cousin once removed That's the closest I get to any of them.
Isaac Asimov and Edgar Burroughs are neck-and-neck for me: 25 degrees each.
17 from Burroughs, but fewer marriages on the path to Clarke, Bradbury, and Heinlein.

My DH is 23 degrees from Robert Heinlein so that makes me 24 degrees, no matter that it isn't closer, Heinlein is my choice to read from those on the list, and we also have most of his books.

I spent several weeks rereading them this spring as the library was closed.
