Falmouth, maine

Does anyone know of online sources of genealogies or other records pertaining to Falmouth, Maine?  My ancestors are from there, the Knights, and there were hundreds of them, all giving their kids the same names, and then all their birth records and most everything else was lost to fire, and the probate records burned twice.  Genealogies with family memories or knowledge are about all I can think of to get started.  I'm fairly sure we are of the Newbury Knight line, but I've got a couple generations in that black hole.

Found lots of Knights with N as middle initial. Knights with Newbury as first or middle name often seemed to have lived in Virginia. Used familysearch.org as the source.
Sorry, I meant they came from Newbury, Mass., not that it was their name.  The Knights of Newbury are quite well documented.
Dear Sue,

I'm a year late on seeing this.  Happy to help.  The first Knight settlers of Falmouth, I have researched extensively for 10+ years.  Happy to share with you anything I have.

Ryan

The missing pre-1850 probate records of Cumberland County contributed to a huge brick wall that bedeviled me for 30+ years, but fortunately I was able to track down some private family papers at the University of Maine Library that confirmed what I had concluded was probably the answer to the problem.
