This is a photo taken about 1905 of my grandmother Pearl McCleery and her girlfriends. They must have enjoyed just being silly. My grandmother is in the back wearing the hat with feathers.

Thank you Susan. I know she really did not want to leave Illinois and her friends, and she kept a scrapbook to remember them. That helps me with the date on these photos.

My son and his friends celebrated their 40th birthdays together with a trip to St. Louis. At the Ulysses Grant Nationals Historic Site, they tried on some of the  clothes from the museum's collection.

This picture was taken summer 2013. I am wincing from being elbowed in the gut by "Mr Hockey." Gordie is acting as if nothing had happened, Silly me , I should have remembered his reputation and prepared myself for the blow!

It is Halloween month - October

My brother, John "Jack" Harley Sims (1944-2010), and sister, Suzanne "Susie" Lynette Sims-Chang (1949-....), were celebrating Halloween with a little dress-up party.

It is also the day after Susie's birthday (October 30).

They are a "silly" couple?

This photo was taken on Christmas Day, 1980 of my father Ted and his father, Frank. They were in a right mischievous mood, clowning around and enjoying the festivities of the season.

I'm not exactly sure what's going on here, but the ladies are having fun. Picture probably taken by my gr-gr-aunt, early 1900's in North Dakota, possibly the Heart River. They enjoyed going on picnics, and apparently didn't mind doing a little wading, even in their Sunday best.

I immediately thought of this photo of my cousin Billy (Still alive). He is not ACTING silly, but doesn’t he sure look silly?  Mr grumpy pants (he really isn’t!).
