Shared Photo: Sweet Little Melanie in arms of her Daddy

I wanted to share this family photo of Melanie Wathen with the community. Location: Topeka, Shawnee, Kansas, USA. Date: 1946.

This photo is very precious to me. Melanie was by daddy's sister. She died at 8 months old from pneumonia. Back then they used sulfur to treat pneumonia, but Melanie was allergic to sulfur. It is so wonderful to have such a lovely photo of her smiling in her daddy's arms in which to remember her by.
