rejection of new person's.

When I add a new person it shows a list of possible matches. If I choose to create the new person I should not have to reject them again in the "match of your wached profiles" section. It should automatically reject them there if I chose to contnue adding. I hate going back in and having to do them all over again when I already indicated the answer was no.

Brian, speaking for myself, only, I would rather consider more matches and merge where necessesary, than leave unmerged duplicates. If you mark each rejected one  you won't be offered that one again, or if you are it will be so marked.  In the big picture, its a small thing.

Tom, I do not understand your response. It is a huge deal and I do not reject anyone if I do not research them. If they are rejected then I should never see a match request for the same two profiles ever. If  enter another person is entered by myself and the information may match one of the rejected profiles it should suggest it.

Thank you Chris for your response.
This is one of the cool features we've built into the soon-to-be-released GEDmatches tool. Before a GEDCOM is processed you can review possible matches. Matches you reject won't need to be rejected again if your GEDCOM is imported.

Applying this to the automatic matches you get from the new-person form shouldn't be too hard.

It's not already done because like with GEDCOM pre-searches you're connecting a profile that doesn't exist with one that does. That is, it's hard to connect A with B when A doesn't exist yet. But it's not that big a deal to preserve the information conditionally. If you go on create A, the Rejected Match is saved. If you don't, it's not.
Then why after I click save as new file it places the same two profiles as a possible match in the find matches link? This is where I was referring to. If I reject a match when adding a person, that match should not come up in the find matches link.
Hi Bryan. That's on the to-do list. It was mentioned here in G2G somewhere else. It's not as simple as it may sound because before you create a profile there is no way to connect it with a relationship to another profile. It's not complex, just something we need to code for.
