Hello George!

Glad you've joined us at WikiTree! George Williams is a fairly common name--I have a couple in my family (a 6th great-grandfather, a 4th great-uncle) and I had a chemistry professor in college named Dr. George Williams. Not sure if any could be direct relations to you, but it would be interesting to find out. Hope you will be able to accomplish all you want here on WikiTree! Be sure to reach out here on G2G whenever you have questions.

Williams is a very popular surname like Jones. My earliest Williams was John Williams of Neath, Glamorganshire, Wales. He was born in the early 1600's and later relocated on Mongahan Co., Ireland. His son was also named John Wiliams as well as his grandson and great grandson. The Great Grandson, John Williams had a daughter Ann who is my ancestor.
