Marking non biological family?

I need help :)

After filling out my trees I finally got around to doing a DNA test... turns out I’m adopted...

I am wondering how I make adjustments in my current tree to be able to add DNA matches?

Nevermind, I figured it out. Was quite simple actually, for anyone who needs it. Just go to your profile page and mark the parents as non-biological.

Thanks!

Once again I typed too quickly...

I have marked my parents as non biological, however for each person in my tree my dna test is linked... how do I fix this?

I'm not 100% positive but I believe you have to wait 24 hours for the the DNA links to refresh. I'm sure someone else will come along to either confirm or deny.
I believe Leilani is correct.  The DNA tracing is only run once a day, so that is something that will not show up until the day after you make changes.

Hi Jocelyn,

As Leilani and Gaile both indicated, it's also my understanding that the process that propagates DNA test info to relatives occurs once per day. So it may take up to 24 hours for the new status to take effect, which should cause your DNA test to be removed from your non-biological relatives.

A profile here can only have one set of parents. If you would like to be able to take advantage of the DNA features here, you will want to have your ancestors here reflect your biological ancestors (if known). So you may want to detach your non-biological parental relationships and connect your biological parents. You can also use the Adopted Child Template within the your bio section to provide links to both sets of parents, if desired.

Another alternative is to create a duplicate profile for yourself to facilitate having both sets of parents reflected in your ancestry. See the Adoptions and Multiple Parents Help Page. This is the only case where multiple profiles are allowed for an individual on WikiTree (otherwise duplicates need to be merged).
