Stella, could you please check the place name. Has it been autocorrected? You might also like to change the tags to new_zealand (one tag), then lots of NZ members will see your post.

Would this be Te Aute - central Hawkes Bay; there are plenty of McLeods and Wilsons around Waipawa and Waipukurau

John & Margaret McLeod & children came to NZ to Te Pirita in the late 1860s with Kenneth & Jane Wilson (nee McLeod), and children.  All on the same ship. They all worked together.  Happy to share information.
