False Calvert ancestry for Ann Porter

Question

Ann Porter, grandmother of PGM immigrant John Porter, has been falsely connected to the Calvert family.  If nobody objects, I will detach her "parents" and add a note to her bio.

Should she also be changed to Ann Unknown? It looks like Porter was her married name.

Well, it wouldn't surprise me if the old Thomas Porter really did have a wife named Ann; but of course I'd like to see a source.

Well the current John Porter profile seems to be a combination of at least 3 people -

- John who died in 1648

- John who was made a freeman in 1669

- John who married Margaret Odding, who Wikipedia thinks went to Rhode Island and was probably never in Connecticut

So it's a question of whose granny Ann is supposed to be.

She's also the granny of a Margaret Porter who was married to Thomas Macy of Nantucket, but other options seem to be available.

Thomas Macy lived to be 107 and has juicy MC lines through Cheshire, though surprisingly no kids yet.  Wasn't he the ancestor of Macy's department stores?

One of the PMs changed Her name to Unknown and I've project protected it so it can't be changed again.

What Calvert family?  I thought the ancestry of the Calverts of Maryland was pretty much unknown.

John is referring to a pre-colonial British Calvert family. See the profile he links to.

Ann Porter's "brother" Leonard is the father of George Calvert, Lord Baltimore.  These are supposed to be his ancestors.  Ann is only tagging along for the free ride.

Just to clarify, George Calvert's descendants do have genuine ancestry through George's wife's mother, a Wroth.  But not through Calverts.  And I doubt if they're descended from any Lennards.  Though it's a cute idea.
