Editing bug: paste into "Explain your changes" is ignored

After making a number of edits then noticing that the explanation I had put in the "Explain your changes" field was missing from the change list, I've determined that if you copy text then paste it into the "Explain your changes" field, it is ignored.

Has anyone else seen this? I'm using Firefox on an iPad if that's relevant. This situation can occur if you're making a series of changes to several pages with the same explanation.

A workaround is to type a character at the end of the pasted-in explanation then delete it again. This seems to alert the software that there is text in the field.

I've heard of issues with people that use their browser's autocomplete, but I think this is the first I've heard of an issue with copy/pasting on a tablet. I've added it to the bugs list.
Thanks Jamie! As a matter of interest, is the bugs list publicly available?
It's mostly for my notes, and is a bit of a mess, but yes, it's public. This particular one is here: https://trello.com/c/xE6mdnNl
Wow, thank you Jamie! The list looks extremely comprehensive! It could be helpful in future to find out whether any odd behaviour is already known as a bug.

Copy/pasting into the changes field on a tablet/mobile should now work properly.

I use Chrome on my computer and not seeing that problem.  Are you pasting it into the 2nd comment line or the 1st one.  There had been a problem with the 2nd one, but it seems to be resolved to me.

Thank you for the response. Maybe it is specific to Firefox and/or iPad.

I've been using the second comment line. I've just tried the first comment line, and pasting into that works! So thanks for that suggestion in particular. I'll switch to using the first comment line pending a possible fix for the second one.

FF latest on Win10 is ok for me. I paste URLs quite a lot, that works.

Are you sure you did not include a tab of return character at the start or end? That might (might!) be an issue.

Thanks for the warning. I don't think I've been pasting return characters, and certainly not tabs, but I'll be extra careful not to next time.
