In the Suggestions for relatives page, my ID appears in red. It has not been in red before to my recollection. Wondering the significance of the red font...

It is in red when you have 'visited' that page before, so it is in your 'cache' / browser memory.

Under suggestions I have a red line near the top of the page which includes my id. It says the red is people related to me. Although I am not quite sure how my father-in-law's brother is related to me but a suggestion for him is red.

That line says 'Suggestions' in profiles 'related to' you which is a 'link' to a different set of Suggestions, but there are no Suggestions that I see when clicking that.

The profiles on the page initially are Suggestions for profiles that you manage, so are you seeing your 'father in laws brother on the initial page where the heading says 'managed by' you?

The "Show suggestions in profiles related to" link on your suggestions list only works if your parents' profiles aren't private.
