I was looking over the Ruben name study as I am at a loss for going any further with my ancestor, Anna (Rubbino) Catalano, born sometime in the 1700's, married to Giovanni Catalano, 1762-1832. Giovanni lived in Termini Imerese, Sicilia at the time of his death. I believe Anna was his first wife and died young. I cannot find any information for Anna at all. Since Rubbino may be a Sicilian Jewish variation of Ruben, I am groping at straws and hoping someone can help me with her information. Has anyone come across her info or soes anyone have any leads? Ive have checked the Termini Imerese records that are available. Not much that I have found for the 1700's. any leads for the surrounding communities?
