What to research next?

There is so much to do on Wikitree. I have been here for 9 months. Some of my ideas for keeping it interesting.

1. Join a monthly Challenge. I did the Source-a-thon and then did a few more on the monthly source challenge. I picked a place and a time and started looking for sources.

2. After I got a substantial watchlist, I found their birthdays in the weekly wikitree family email. It was interesting to go back through my list and work on people whose birthday it is on that day. Here is one for today. Happy 122 birthday,Carl.

Great ideas, Nancy (and happy birthday to Carl!). I use the Anniversaries list under the 'My Wikitree' menu which shows birthdays, death dates and marriage anniversaries. Yesterday was the 100 year anniversary of Horace Greeley Carmack's death, so I spiffed up his profile and got all his children added.

If you have a few hours to spare, there are many profiles with the Last Name of birth as Unknown.

1. Projects - join 'em, love 'em. Seems to be one for most anything, I'm enjoying Data Doctor'ing, simple concrete tasks that I know are beneficial to the whole community. Profile Improvement Project helps everyone they touch, Cemetery project is out there in the real world (wear a mask if anybody there *isn't* dead), etc.
2. Personal Maintenance Categories - come up with your own ideas of things that would be "nice to have" on profiles, add em and then work people off the list. Very satisfying
3. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Research_Worksheet_Template - ok, let's get stupid. Look for anything and everything. I'm working on improving this so it's easier to use. 
4. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Sources-To-Do_List - help these crazy people (looking at you, Rick/Eowyn/others I don't know) who are cataloguing all of the great resources that will help someone you don't even know find someone they don't even know.
5. Because you're bored, play with the relationship and connection finder. I'm not related to Carl, but Nancy, turns out we're 20th cousins. And Carl is 21 degrees away from my wife, through a couple of marriages. One Tree!

County historical societies are fun and typically have loads of previously unpublished information from family diaries and recollections of early settlers. It can be a fun challenge to make profiles for these folks. Most have some sort of online presence.

interesting idea. I also notice that small local cemeteries dont have much presence on Wikitree.
