L'an VII, 7 Ventôse: 1798 or 1799? [closed]

Question

Adolphe François Pierre Guillot's birth certificate (frames 1 & 2) is dated L'an VII, 7 Ventôse.

In his marriage certificate I think it says (lines 7-8):

Le six Ventôse an sept ou vingt cinq février, mil sept cent quatre vingt dix huit

So that would be 1798, but Wikipedia has 1799 as year.

Error of civil register officer?

ADDITION:

Same problem in birth certificate of daughter born January 14, 1842, where his age is recorded as quarante trois (43). Literally taken that again would mean born 1798.

The birth record is the authoritative source, and in this case there is no doubt after viewing the scan, that it is indeed a contemporary record and not a copy made later. 6 Ventose an VII = 24 Feb 1799. 

As noted by Julien, the marriage record has an error of conversion.

Also, his age would be approximate in his daughter's birth act, and in January 1842 he was actually close to being 43.

The birth record is dated 7 ventôse an VII, but states that Adolphe François Pierre Guillot was born the day before. And 6 ventôse an VII is definitely 24 Feb 1799, not 25 Feb 1798.

I would say it is an error in the marriage record, and an approximation in the birth record of his daughter.
