Pvt. Luther Colton enlisted with the 106th New York, Co. A. August 11, 1862 at De Kalb, New York. He was “KIA” May 21, 1864 at Charleston, Va.

We need help with his parental genealogy and adding more sources. Find A Grave shows parents but would like more sources

What battle was he killed?

He has two memorials. Where is he actually buried?

Thank you

Thank you Marion

This is the Battle of Summit Point

Excellent source shows the battle and unit with his rank being Private and date “KIA”

Only one Luther Colton in the 106th Unit Roster there were a Henry Colton and Franklin Colton also. The only 3 Colton’s listed see https://dmna.ny.gov/historic/reghist/civil/rosters/Infantry/106th_Infantry_CW_Roster.pdf

All in Company A

Apparently two “KIA” and one died of typhoid fever

I’m thinking all 3 Colton boys in the 106th were brothers?
