THOMAS WEBB BRANSON, was born in London, England in 1776.

Married 1799, Westminster, Middlesex, England.

Death 18 April 1826 London, England.

Parents, Jeremiah Branson, 1728 - 1813, and mother Elizabeth Barnsley 1750 - ???

Can nor find any records for Jeremiah or Elizabeth.

Any information provided would be greatly appreciated.

How confident are you with the dates, as there is a marriage (by licence) for a Jeremiah Branson to an Elizabeth Barnsley at Bermondsey but the date is 2 October 1790 so sometime after the given birth date of Thomas Webb Branson.

The records of the London Livery Companies show that Thos. Webb Branson was apprenticed to his father, Jeremiah Branson 'Citizen and Clothworker' for 7 years starting 6 April 1785 and was created a freeman on 6 June 1792 Co. Clothworkers.

There is also a record for a Jeremiah Branson, the son of William Branson vinegar maker of St Saviour Southwark, who was apprenticed to Jeremiah Wilder, Co Clothworkers Livery,  for 7 year starting 12 January 1741, with freedom of Co Clothworkers 1 February 1749.  NB: 'William Branson, vinegar maker of St Saviour Southwark made his Will 12 May 1740/Proved 14 November 1743 in which he names his children including 'Jeremiah Brandon' who was to receive the sum of £50 when he attained the age of 21 years.

Forgot to mention that Thomas Webb Brandon married twice - first wife was Elizabeth Rebecca Preston married 1793 St James Piccadilly with son Jeremiah baptised 18 April 1794.

Second wife was Mary.
