With SAR being...? For which country?
Sons of the American Revolution, i believe. If you are looking at Ancestry, you may be able to see it through your public library for free

Not that I am aware of.
They are at Ancestry, up to 1970. Ancestry, of course, is a subscription site. Other than that, you can purchase applications from the SAR.
