HI, Have ancestors from Ross County Ohio. Great Great Grandfather Amos Forman born there in 1827. Parents where Benjamin Forman and Mary Hines natives of Ohio of German descent. Don't know for sure who Benjamin's parents are but Mary Hines parents where Henry Hines and Hannah Blue. Anybody have a connection with this family? Thanks Don

Amos Forman, 1900 US Census, Vermillion Twp., (east half) Newport Town, Vermillion, Indiana. Birth date Nov 1827 OH.

Amos Forman head age 73. Jane Forman wife 50 born IN. Barely Forman son 20 born IN, Bert Forman son 17 IN. Amos was a farmer and the two sons where farm laborers.

This Amos Forman appears to have been born in Indiana, not Ohio (although birth years match up exactly). Donald, is this the same Amos you are looking for? Or by chance, is this a different gentleman with the same name?

*edit; had a chance to look this up here, profile in question is Forman-716, definitely the same person in Indiana, with his fourth spouse and last two children from the profile narrative.

Hi thank you for the reply. Yes this is my Great Great Grandfather. The Forman-716 is what I entered. The 1900 US Census was his 4th marriage. My line comes from his 2nd marriage.  Last 2 children listed in 1900 census came from his 3rd marriage.  Sometimes the Census is not too accurate he was born in Ross County Ohio. Some of the other year Census list his birth as Ohio. Just don't know who Amos's grandparents where. That has been a 50 year search.
