Hoping someone can help. I'm looking for the parents of Janet Drummond (1795-?), unknown place and date of birth, unknown place/date/year of death. Janet married John Stewart/Stuart on 15 October 1815 Madderty, Perth, Scotland and I think they had around 10 children all born in Madderty.

She is shown in the 1851 census as born at Blackford Parish. Do you know what happened after that? There is a death record for a Janet Stewart at Madderty in 1865, aged 75 (possibly rounded), but there was another Janet Stewart about that age in Madderty at the same time. Scotland's People can show you that image if you pay money. The index entry shows the mother's maiden name as Kieth, but the image itself would probably give more information -- possibly both parents' names.

Hi Barry

Thanks for answering. The only things I know are the above and that John was from Auchterarder, Perthshire, Scotland. I believe his parents may have been James Stewart and Ann Smith. Their children are - Ann 1816-?, Alexander 1818-?, Jean 1820-?, Janet 1822-?, John 1824-?, James 1826-?, David 1828-?, Andrew 1830-1911, Elizabeth 1832-?, Margaret 1836-1892, all born in Madderty.

Kind regards Leanne
