Newbie here How to mark a best answer

You’ll see a shawdowy star at the right of each answer, just click on it.

You will notice though that you can only select “answers”, not “comments”. That is a choice made by the other user when they post. I suppose you could ask them to reply as an answer so that you could then select it.
