Pending Merge on John Hamilton

This merge is ready to be completed, but I lack the pre-1500 certification to do so. If some helpful WikiTree-er could take care of this, that would be great!

On 15 Jul 2020 Michael Hamilton wrote on Hamilton-23545:

[[Hamilton-4469]] and Hamilton-23545 appear to represent the same person because: These 2 John Hamiltons have the same parents and the profile of Hamilton-4147 mentions her other husband' "John Hamilton of Broomhill, son of James Hamilton, 1st Lord Hamilton and Janet Calderwood".

I am leaving this to someone with knowledge as she married Elizabeth Hamilton married two different John Hamiltons....

One of Broomhill and one of Neilsland.....

I'm not at all certain that they are the same person.  It seems to me that the one is the son of the other.  John Hamilton-4469 mentions a son John, yet there isn't one attached.  His profile also notes there is/has been much confusion over father and son as well as nephew and possible grandson, all named John.

Adding to the confusion is another John Hamilton-4284 who is also married to an Elizabeth Hamilton...  It's been sitting as an unmerged match with Hamilton-4469 for almost two years.

The merge(s) should not be completed until further research is completed.

Thanks for re-tagging, Traci.  I've alerted the Scotland Project's Medieval Team.  They are aware of the situation, as it is included in a line that is currently being researched.  It will be worked on as soon as possible.
