I wanted to share this family photo of Esther Chaplain/Kimbrel with the community. Location: Stoddard Missouri I believe.
This is My Great Grandma Esther Alice Chaplain/Kimbrel her mother is supposed to be Semiramis Newsome born in Illinois around 1865 and was a Indian woman as I was told by her grandchildren.
But can't find hardly any information on her pryer to being married to my Great Great Grandfather James W Chaplain on my Dad's....Dad's mom side of the tree.
James had 2 wives one was a white woman named Elizabeth Rebecca Lindsey and the other was a Indian woman that he kept hidden or was not talked about as a Indian that's why there isn't much information on her that I can find.
I believe she is buried in the Kimbrel Cemetery in New Lisbon, Stoddard, Missouri.
