Josephine Hamel, daughter of Leon?

Thinking out loud and I would appreciate some insight. I'm trying to determine if a woman named Josephine Hamel is the daughter of Léon Hamel and Rose Flavie Dussault, my 3x great-grandparents. I am wondering if I have enough to prove that she is a sister of my 2x great-grandfather, Eugene Hamel.
Here's what I know.
1. She was born in Suncook, New Hampshire some time in 1874. I don't have an exact date. The date comes from her death certificate. Suncook is where a vast majority of the Hamel clan lived when they came to America in the 1870s. One thing though? Her parents never lived there.
2. And speaking of her death, she died in Lawrence, Mass on December 10th, 1907. On her death certificate were the names Leon Hamel and Rose Dussau (A distortion of Dussault)
3. The same couple appear on her marriage to Louis Guay on January 9th, 1893.
It seems possible. But, I haven't been able to find her birth in Suncook (if that was where she really was born. I haven't found anything else.)
So, that's really all I have to go on. Any help would be welcome. Leon's act of sepulcture is on his page. I cannot read French very well and I hope someone can help me out. Thanks!

I tried to check if my son Kenneth Hamel was a DNA match but it is too far out possibly 8th cousin 1x removed of my ex so not sure what one more removed for my son is called, Ancestry says not a match.
Well, there's always a paper trail!

My french isn't great but the death record says "The 21st December 1891, we... bury in the cemetary of this parish, the body of Léon Hamel, who died around the 18th at the age of 70 years husband of the dead Flavie Dussault of this parish in the presence of Damase Gregoire and of Napoléon Hamel who didn't sign"

Any bit helps, Kyla. Thanks.
Kyla - great job!  Just one tweak to your translation which is almost perfect.  "décédé le dix-huit courant" translates to "died on the 18th of this month".

So, it is an exact date given in the record, not an estimate.  I suspect that French baptisms and burials, as they occur so closely to the actual births / deaths, are as close to primary documents as you can get, so I usually consider them accurate.  Memory would be too fresh to get the date wrong is my thinking!
Thanks Greg!

Hi, Dani! Thank you!

I'll get around to making those profiles, soon! =D
and if both her marriage record and funeral record name her parents, I think you have enough evidence of parentage.
Right. It'd have been cool if DNA matches sealed the deal, ya know? So far I haven't come across any DNA matches for me or my mom who have Leon Hamel and Rose Flavie Dussault as a common ancestor pair.

Leon's parents on the other hand? YUUUP! 16!

lol, DNA matches are not  something I would wait around for, some people have no descendants.  laugh

Hey, a guy can dream, right? I have been following the Guays (She married a guy named Guay) to the present day and....honestly? It is really, really depressing. =X

I know as genealogists we gotta be objective and have a brave heart. But......
