added as unrelated person to in changes log [closed]

Question

X added as unrelated person to Y appeared in my report on changes to profiles I manage, and also appears on the profile in question.  Names not important so they have been removed from this question.

The question being, there were no actual changes to the profile, so why is this being generated?  Seems like added traffic in database for no reason I can imagine.

I have seen those since they started adding some more messages which could affect the profiles.  I think a 'spouse' or 'child' might have been added to a 'child' of a related person.

Add tech or sysops so Jamie will see the message.  She should know what situation generates it.

You currently get that message when, for example, a child is added to one parent and the box is ticked to add the child to the other parent at the same time - the message appears on the "other" parent. Previously the change was only noted on the parent you added it to directly, but I believe changes are being made so that in future it will be noted on both parents.
