GEDCOMPARE kontroll

Hej!

Hey! I have for a long time added new data to my genealogy program - FTM 2003 - and now want to move over the new profiles I have noted. Have I taken the instructions for GEDCOM so that I make a GEDCOM of all profiles, send it to WikiTree and get a list in return where I choose which ones are new to WikiTree, or get matches that I then accept?

If Google did a good job:

Yes, the easiest way to see what matches there are between data on WikiTree and your own database is to export a Gedcom from Family Tree Maker and then upload it here. You will get a report with possible matches. No profiles are created at that time, and you can't even import anything until you have accepted or rejected all suggestions.

It is advisable to start with a small section of your database, with known duplicates on WikiTree. That way you can see how it works. It is really safe to just try it out. You can always delete the Gedcom again.

(Sorry my Swedish is terrible).
