Update on New Zealand military categories [closed]

Question

Sometime ago (not sure how many years ago to be exact), I had made the decision to flesh out the military structure of New Zealand during WWI and WWII. At the time, I wasn't aware of the stickers for these conflicts.

Back in June, I had made the commitment to rectify the error as a result of everything had been setup.

Despite the ongoing health complications I'm dealing with, those promised adjustments have been completed. Everything is nested under the respective categories:

• Second Boer War
• World War I
• World War II
• Vietnam War (in progress)
• Korean War (in progress)

I have looked through the WWII categories and cannot see any that cover the Pacific Islands?

The associated battalions are there

Having a look at what I assume to be his record... It looks like he was in the New Zealand Ordnance Corps. My assumption is that would to 2nd New Zealand Ordnance Corps. You present this either as [[Category:2nd New Zealand Ordnance Corps, New Zealand Army, World War II]]

From 4 Feb 1941 to 4 Jan 1942 he served in Auckland Mounted Rifles. He was a regimental saddler.

Is there a category for this?

There isn't currently. The unit categories at the moment are of those that were deployed overseas. Slowly figuring out what the structure was for those who were in the Home Guard / Territorial

Thank you; A big job and very tidily done. It'll be a rainy day project, fitting all the Anzac stickered servicemen into individual regimental categories.

Honestly, to me there was a certain amount of integrity tethered to this... purely from the perspective that I'd started this, said that I was going to fix my 'creation' and after a couple of months later wasn't quite there.

There have been two things that I've found hard while doing this:

1. During WWI, having multiple battalions of a regiment spread across several brigades
2. Having WWI units of similar names and trying to distinguish which was which
3. During WWII, having 5 active divisions and trying to continually switch tabs to remember which brigades was associated with which division
4. The hardest aspect with the WWII units is there are personnel who were added after being rearranged into the more modern/current unit resulting in difficulty identifying what and where that unit belongs
