How long to wait after requesting sources for child addition?

If I request source for someone adding a child to a profile I manage the same day they added the child how long is a fair amount to wait?  Particularly when I can’t find a source (I don’t mind sourcing it myself if I can), every other child is sourced, their estimated birth is same as another child and they don’t fit anywhere in the string of children already there.

I know I should be more patient but it annoys me to have an unsourced probably wrongly attached child to my otherwise well documented family!

Create a research notes section on the child and parents, with the Wikitree ID and name of possible relative, with a note that it is being removed until sourcing information is provided, since nothing has been found and the rest of your reasoning. Wait a few days and remove it, at least it will be documented.
