I'll bet he's getting one hell of a reception in Heaven...  :-)
aw... so sad. He was always one of my favorite actors! Rest in peace, Sir Sean.
It seems that his wife's profile (Diane Cilento) could be open as well.  She died nine years ago.
Thank you Chris for sharing this, how sad we have lost Sean Connery, he was a wonderful actor

I just saw this, and I am sadden by the news. What a legend! While famous for his Bond movies, I appreciated his later ones so much more. Even is his less serious rolls, he brought a depth of acting skill that drew one to his characters. Imagine my surprise and pleasure when he showed up at the end in Costner's Robin Hood as King Richard. And, boy oh boy, did he look good in a kilt, honoring his Scottish heritage.

Just don't look him up in Manos, the Hand of Fate. =)

He was amazing in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Highlander, too.
Indiana Jones (and the Last Crusade), Hunt for Red October and The Rock are 3 of my most favourite Sean Connery Movies!!

RIP Sean - You will be missed.
Pip, of course you would mention his kilt!  But I agree with you wholeheartedly!

He most definitely knew how to rock a kilt! And the accent! I've never heard one that compares.smiley

Yes, there is a profile for him at

His father needs to be unlocked and I have been working on adding categories for him and need help as some categories don't exist (British Academy Awards) and also I wanted to add about his Scottish heritage. (maternal)

He was one of the best actors I know. A great man has died.

My favorite movie with him as an actor is "Hunt for Red October" and not to forget, he was the best actor for James Bond 007.

R.I.P.

Oh my... This is very sad news. I remember him in so many great roles, but one of my favorites was a part he played in Disney's "Darby O'Gill..." He was young and charming and even sang in that movie.

Sad news indeed, however, Sean made a great life and attained 90 years.  Stand out roles would have to be 'Darby O'Gill', 'The Rock' (I only borrowed your Humvee), 'Entrapment', 'Hunt for Red October', and ... oh, the list goes on and on. Thanks for the memories Bond, James Bond.

I heard of his death and it was like a gut punch. So much of my life, like so many others has been marked by actors and performers of his ilk. My FIRST date ever was back in 1962 and we saw 'Dr. No'. I don't remember the date's name, but I did remember Sean Connery! More Bond movies, Professor Jones, the Untouchables, Hunt for Red October...he touched out lives.

I celebrated his life by re-watching when he was an honoree at the Kennedy Center Honors back in 1999. He was classic and classy in a kilt. And for your viewing pleasure and shared grief:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpaKMsH60Jo
