Norwegian surname Heidal

Question

Hi. My great grandfathers last name was heidal

I’ve hit a brick wall at his father Peter Heidal born in Alten Finnmark about 1820.

Any help would be awesome

spelling is always a pain but you have a name and place so do an advance search and do not use the surname it gets you nowhere try and find a farm name or residence and pay attention to the names of his children and how they could be named.

found them via birth of oldest son Johan Alfred. Johan Peter Isaksen Hietala and Anna Kristine Gustavsdtr.

there is also a marriage record of  Johan Petter Isaksen Hjedolla married to Anna Kristen Eliasdtr. Ralama 19 Nov 1876 in Alta Finnmark. Anna's father is Gustav Eliass. Ratama
