Welcome to WikiTree! To add your mother go to your profile or your tree. On your tree, your father is already there but the place for mother is in yellow; click on that and a page will open where your can add her information - but since she is already created just add her ID Martin-62085 in the provided box. Be sure to "Save".

I hope this helps.

Hey Linda,

Welcome. Don't worry, nothing is wrong. You have your own profile and your father is connected to you. What you now should do is to go to your own profile, edit and then on the right follow the link 'add mother'. On the top of that page, there is a small box for the profile ID. In there, you paste the ID of your mother.

That should add a link between her and you, and will also create a link between your father and her.

You can also go to your father and add as spouse there. Use that ID as well. Problem then is that you will probably not be seen as daughter, but as 'half'. So for now I would not suggest that.

Linda, it looks like you have now linked your mother and father to yourself successfully.

A little note for you. I personally would remove the . currently in place on your middle initial. Genealogy programs often do not like extra punctuation and have trouble providing record hints when they are there.

Also it is a really good practice to get in the habit of providing as much detail as you possibly can with names dates and locations in your genealogy but also keeping to the "standardization" of the programs/websites you are using. All of this again helps to increase generation of auto hints.
