G2G: Do 19th C parish registers for Altentreptow (formerly Treptow an der Tollense) exist online/are indexed/are scanned?

I can't find anything on my google searches, but I don't feel confident there might be something on German language websites I've missed.

Is it simply down to contacting the churches there? If so, is there only the one church? I've only identified one, St. Peter Kirche.

Thank you!

Hello Mark,

Altentreptow today is part of the county Mecklenburgische Seenplatte in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The parish Altentreptow belongs to the Probstei Demmin in the church district Pommerscher evangelischer Kirchenkreis (Kirche Pommern) of the Evangelisch-Lutherische Kirche in Norddeutschland (Nordkirche).

There is only one Lutheran church in Altentreptow: St. Peter

I checked Ancestry and archion.

At the moment there are no church records online avaible.

You can always try to ask the parish office where records are kept, often at the parish itself, sometimes in other archives:

  • Ev. Kirchengemeinde St. Petri Altentreptow
  • Tel.: 03961 214745
  • Fax: 03961 2299851
  • E-Mail: altentreptow@pek.de
  • Mühlenstraße 4
  • 17087 Altentreptow

Thanks for confirming Dieter and Helmut!

Thanks for the star Kylie
