Are Google search results leading to Wikitree hits counted or analysed?

If you don't block the tracker stats.g.doubleclick.net (and use Google as your search engine) then yes.

But I have not seen the reports on it, usually the site owner gets/asks for an account at Google to see the analysis.

Yes the wikitree profiles with the most clicks are called STAR PROFILES. There is usually a wikitree Data Doctors Challenge to work on them about every 6 weeks or so.
