Contact the jurisdiction that maintains these records in the location where he died. You may have to prove or establish that you have a right to a copy of this record. Specific requirements depend on the jurisdiction. In the United States each state has different rules.

thank you but he was born in the United States. i seen that the link you posted has UK in it, i am not sure if that matters or not. thank you for your help.
As George said, you need to contact the vital records authority in the place where he died. In the United States, this is the state -- or possibly the county.
