List of Profiles without Categories

Question

Good morning all,

I'm looking for a way to search for profiles that do not have categories.  Is there an easy way to do that?  I particularly want to audit my own to make sure I've remembered to add categorization to all of them.

Hello, Could you give me an example of a category and an idea of why they are important?  I haven't realized this is a "thing."  Jane

Categories are a way of grouping people - everyone buried in the same cemetery, everyone who was in a certain war or military unit, everyone who emigrated from a particular place.  Some people love them, some don't.  You can find more information at: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Categories

Wikitree+ should be able to handle this, although im not sure of the syntax. Ales or someone who uses the text search regularly, can you help please? I cant figure out how to say NOT category

I am sort of doing the inverse of this on my managed profiles, i add a personal maintenance category for "all categories" which i am then working to check if the profiles have all the applicable categories added, then once worked I remove my personal one.

WT+ can't do this t the moment. I also don't think it will. There are ove 20M profiles without categories.

However you can display all your profiles on WT+

Then search for C: and you will quickly see which profiles don't have a category.
