Hi my name is Herbert Alan Kenny, Alan to friends & family!

I am researching the Kenny and Tant families who were living in the greater Manchester area in the late 19th and 20th centuries.

My Grandfather was Edward Kenny born 1875. I am particularly interested in his 3 younger brothers, Martin 1877, William 1879 and Joseph 1882. If anyone can help with any information I would be grateful.

Re the Tant family my great grandmother was Susan Wood, nee Wise B 1830. She was married (1875) to Henry Sewell Wood, but there appears to be no trace of him. He died at sea in 1873/4 on the way back from India where he was working as a botanist. Any information would be gratefully recieved.
