I found a marriage record for Charles Porter and Sarah McWaters in Stellarton, Pictou County, NS, date 17 March 1903.  Sarah's mother is recorded as Margaret.

Wow - this is the closest I have gotten but unfortunately the date of marriage is too late.

My grandmother Margaret Burrelll (born Munro) was the daughter of Andrew Munro and Lucy Porter who were married in 1882. Lucy was the daughter of Charles and Sarah Porter who were likely married sometime between 1840 and 1861. They may have been born and even married outside of Canada but suspect they died and were buried in N.S.
Too bad.  I'll keep poking around.
Commenting for my friend: The parents of Lucy Porter, who married Andrew Munro in Amherst, Nova Scotia, were Charles Porter and Sarah White. Charles was a tailor born in England (possibly Hull), and Sarah was a seamstress. This all comes from family word-of-mouth. My friend is a descendant of Charles & Sarah > Sabra Alice (Porter) (1859-1893, born in Amherst, NS) McDermott. So Sabra was your Lucy's sister.
