what to do with non family related information

In my searches I gather a lot of information that turns out not to be of direct interest to me. How can I share this so that it is in the Tree and of use to others?

Maybe if you have information relevant to another person in the database, add it to their profile.  If it's about someone not in the database, maybe you can add that person as a New Person. If it's a 'thing' - like an event, a ship, or something else - maybe you can add that as a New Thing .  What kind of information are you talking about?

Thanks for your response. The sort of information I have is where I have a number of parish records that relate to Gabriels who are not in my family nor in the WT database. My thinking is to create a gedcom in RootsMagic and then load that. Each person will have that Parish Register as the source. Would this approach be acceptable? It would certainly be easier to manage.

I'm no expert, but it sounds great to me. smiley

Good luck!

(It's funny though... As my family name is not so common, I think of everyone with my name as family, and I put them in the database.)
