Can we disconnect Thompson-4287 in Virgina from Allane-3 and her descendants in Connecticut?

Margaret Thompson [Allane-3] had a son named Samuel, born around 1691.  He married Elizabeth McKinney and died in 1782.  All are buried in Ellington, CT.  However, Allane-3 has son Samuel identified as Thompson-4287 who died in Virginia.  Shouldn't we be looking for other parents for Thompson-4287 and establish a separate profile for Samuel Thompson, the son of Margaret in Connecticut?  The first source for the Connecticut line is https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Thompson_Genealogy%2C_The_Descendants_of_William_and_Margaret_Thomson.

I agree that this profile should be disconnected and tried to do so quite some time ago, but as you see it was reattached by someone else and taken over by others who refuse to research CT Samuel as a stand alone son of William and Margaret.
