Looking for input on my hypothesis

Some facts than my Questions:

I know my Great Great Grand Father without a doubt is Robert Baxter (2)  I have his passenger ship records, his 1901 Scotland Census and 1911 Canadian Census I know his wife Elizabeth's (1) Maiden name was Kinnaird from her death certificate

I know my Great Grandmother was Elizabeth(2) and She Married Arthur Anderson they Lived in Donkin Nova Scotia

So here is who I think are families from Census based on age and location

1911 Cdn Census

I have My Great Grandgrand Parents Arthur and Elizabeth (2) Anderson are living in Donkin she is listed as 18

Her Parents my Great Great Grandparents Robert (2) Age 60 and Elizabeth (1) Age 58 Live in Donkln with her Brother John Age 32

I also show another Robert (3?) Baxter (age 37) next door he immigrated in 1902

1901 Scottish Census

I show my Great Great Grandparents Robert (2) Age 50 and Elizabeth (1) Age 48  John age 22  and Elizabeth Age 8

So so far this checks out I'm confident these are the same people

1891 Scottish Census

Robert (2) Baxter age 41, Elizabeth (1) Baxter age  38 Robert (3) Baxter age 16 and James Baxter age 12 and William Baxter age 8

So my great-grandmother Elizabeth (2) not born to 1892 so should be there (check)  her Parents Robert (2) and Elizabeth (1) ages match Robert (3) age matches to the next door in the 1911 Cdn Census and I am assuming he moved by 1901, there is no William Baxter I have found afterwards (but to be honest haven't looked too hard) Now James is confusing his age matches the John Baxter I can find in 1901, in 1905 on Passenger Records with Robert (2) and Elizabeth's (1 and 2) and the 1911 Cdn Censusso is possible John was Middle Name and James was Given (or vice versa) and as he grew older he changed to John so my

1881 Scottish Census

Robert (2)  Baxter age 30,  Elizabeth (1) Baxter age 27 Robert (3) Baxter age 5 and  James Baxter 15 Mo so William isn't born yet so missing

In 1874 I found a Mary Baxter born to a Robert (2) Baxter and Elizabeth (1)  (nee Kinnaird) this is the maiden name of Elizabeth (1) according to her 1939 Nova Scotia death certificate - I can't find any Record of Mary later

in 1873 I have the Marriage Record of Robert (2) and Elizabeth (1)  So note from all records I found  it appears Robert (2) was born in Dec 1850

1861 Scottish Census I have found what I believe is my Robert (2)'s Family

Robert Baxter (1) Age 48,  Christina Baxter Age 39, James Baxter Age19,  Andrew Baxter age 17, Marion Baxter age 14, Catherine Baxter age 12,  Robert (2?) Baxter 10 Helen Baxter age 8 John Baxter Age 6,  William Baxter age 3,  Christina Baxter age 1,  Cathrine Baxter Age 75 (If I am correct based upon baptismal records  I believe this is Robert (1)'s mother and her maiden name was Peacock and she was married to a James Baxter)

So this Robert (2) is the right age

1851 Scottish Census

Robert (1) Baxter age 30 Christina Baxter age 29, James Baxter age 9, Andrew Baxter age 7, Marion Baxter age 4, Catharine Baxter age 2 and Robert (2?) Baxter age 6 Mos, and Catherine Baxter age 64

So based on this my 2 questions are am I right in first family to believe I James and John are same person, included to think the first middle name thing especially if I am right in whom I assume Robert (2)'s father Robert (1) is because James and John are names of Robert (2)'s brothers

And my second question is since I can't a birth, baptismal or marriage record to connect Robert (1) and Robert (2) do you think I have enough other evidence to conclude they are indeed Father and Son and Robert (1) his wife and Family and his Parents James and Catherine are part of my tree

- Sorry for Long-winded question

Yes, I would say that from your research, the common name Robert ( father and son with same name), the same area they lived in, the dates that work fairly closely..I think you are likely on the right track.

Thank you,  that was my thinking - mostly wanted to have somebody say yeah you're thinking is good there or woah you're way off track - A had great evidence for the 1st ones family on both lines for a few more generations back it was making that connector I needed.
