Hi Diane! I remember that feeling! but it does go away after you use this site a bit.
I think i was spoiled by the point-and-click functionality of Ancestry (although even it had a frustrating learning curve at first), so a lot of my early frustration with WikiTree was because i hadn't saved and then I hadn't refreshed. Then i couldn't find my own work!
I see that you have worked on your mother's profile: it is here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Gillespie-6087 Is that her? But you haven't linked her as your mother. As soon as you select her as your mother, she will be easy to find from your own profile.
Other ways to find your work:
- review your contributions list, visible from your G2G profile
- search for the person using the First Name and Last Name fields at the very top of any profile
- Start to enter them again, and watch for the suggested field to populate, and see if they are already there.
I'm sure other members here can suggest other methods that work for them...
Anyway, welcome to WikiTree! I found that it was definitely worth the learning curve!
Also, THANK YOU for doing DNA and linking it!
Cheers
Shirlea
