Was my G2-grandfather, Alexander Snider/Snyder a Native American? Born in Ohio, Lived in Indiana and Missouri

Alexander born around 1820.   By 1850, lived in Indiana.   By 1860, was in Missouri.   After 1860, I am having trouble finding where he went to or if he died.

Your first step should be to build your tree back to him, posting the documentation you find.  In general, if you are finding him in U.S. records 1850 and earlier he was not Native American.  Most Native Americans were not citizens until 1921 and were not included in the census.  The tribes from Ohio were forced out by 1830; most ended up in IndianTerritory/Oklahoma, some went to Canada.
