I am currently seeking to retrieve the ancestors of James Richard Jackson and Richard Jackson

Question

I am currently researching the background of James Richard Jackson of Bracken County, Kentucky and later Jefferson County, Indiana, and of the one I believe to be his father, Richard Jackson, of the Ten-Mile Creek area of what is now Greene County Kentucky, who later went to Bracken County, Kentucky and may have been born in Maryland Colony near what is now Washington, D.C.

I am also interested in the Stovers/Stauffers that originally came from Switzerland. Dwight Eisenhower's mother was a Stover from Mt. Sidney, Virginia. He was the first cousin of my grandmother, Nettie Stover Jackson.

My suggestion on your next move would be to upgrade to a family membership (this is 100% free). You would then be able to add a tag - (Tags connect with other genealogists who share the same interests) These would be surnames of your ancestors and/or locations where they might have lived. You could immediately be connected with other members who are researching the same names you are. What an awesome idea - Right?
