How can I change G-Grandmothers name misspelled on Death Cert?ll

My Gt-Grandfather's name was mis-spelled. on his birth certificate.  I wrote to the General Register Office, London, London.  They sent me a corrected copy.

It depends on the jurisdiction. Contact them and ask.

For example, my father needed to change the spelling of his first name on his birth certificate. An older relative had to sign an affidavit to attest the correct spelling. They then issued a corrected document.
