Hi Pamela, welcome. Could you put place of birth/death on the profiles you are creating. Even just country.  It helps prevent duplicates being made, and for connecting existing profiles. Thanks

Familysearch.org is a good free site for finding sources. If you get stuck ask here on g2g for help, there are always others willing to help.
