I tried to upload a picture of my great grandfather and Wiki wouldn't upload it because I don't have a source.

Question

I triet to upload a picture of my great grandfather.  Wiki wouldn't upload it because I don't have a source.  How could I get a source for an old photo like that; and why can't I post it?

Your "source" would be that it is family owned, or from your photograph collection, or a relative gave it to you.

All you are doing is stating that the image does not belong to someone else who owns the copyright on it.

Go to your question and click on "edit" then you can delete the email address.

How do you add a photo?

To add pictures to a profile simply click on an "[upload image]" link in the photo section.

This will enable you to browse your hard drive for a photo to upload.

After uploading you can edit the information about the photo, i.e. the who, what, when, and where.

Repeat this for as many photos as you like.
