This family goes by many surnames. I’m trying to find any information about the Carrington/Connington/Currington /Cunnington family from Huntingdonshire, England. I believe most originated in the St. Ives/ Warboys area. Some members eventually settled in West Sussex.

Thanks Marion! I did search through that page but I really can’t be sure if any are my family. They went by so many surnames and it seems that many of my English relatives were born illegitimately. Also it seems that many were married numerous times. I know I’m not making myself sound too good here but it seems like the trend of the times.

I have ten Curringtons from Yelling/Toseland/St Neots, Hunts who I've never added as I'm not convinced they connect. Give me a day and  I'll add profiles for them They started as Cunnington from Fen Drayton, Cambs moving to Yelling to marry as Currington in 1810. Bear with me.

Having looked at your profile for  [[Carrington-673|Thomas William Carrington (1888-abt.1975)]] which has been imported from FS, warts and all, I'm not surprised that you're struggling. FS appears to have conflated two distinct William Curringtons, at least, they show as "Facts" William living in Warboys in 1901 and William living in Yelling in 1901. Use FS profiles to provide hints, but check them all with the original source, and don't just import them en bloc, which is discouraged by WT and is a recipe for confusion and mistakes as here, as Yelling is a red herring.

I think I've untangled them now and have added to the biographies, including details of William Thomas' maternal grandparents. It didn't help that people kept dying young! I have a suspicion that my Curringtons who are based around Yelling are not going to be of much help to you.
